Strawberry Watermelon Slushie

Posted by Heidi Denessen on

Enjoy this refreshing, vitamin-infused, kid-friendly slushie which is so easy to make and doesn’t contain any of the nasty ingredients that come with the traditional slushies that kids love so much. You can serve it knowing you are giving them a glass full of love and goodness. Adults love this one too, some have even been known to spike it with a little organic vodka!

2 cups frozen watermelon (cut watermelon into chunks and freeze a cookie sheet for 2 hours or more)

2 cups of chopped strawberries (fresh or frozen)

1/4 cup lemon juice

1 cup water

2 tablespoons raw honey, to taste (optional)

Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and slushie-like. Add more water if necessary to get your blender moving. You may need to stop and stir things around a bit too, depending on the power of your blender. If your strawberries are frozen, it is very possible that you will need more water. Enjoy!!

Serves 2 to 4
