Curme Islands, Desolation Sound.
Dusk falls,
All is calm,
The magic of the ocean reveals itself in these waters.
I painted this piece years ago, and wanted to re-visit it and give it an update with a textured overlay when adapting it for fabric printing on this springs new designs. I spent my childhood summers going to Desolation Sound and have magical memories from those boat trips. Then when I was 17, I went back up, kayaking with a friend of mine to the Curme Islands, where we camped on, and swam off these exact rocks. A magical time.

Spring break is here and we are HAPPY about it!! This little chunk of time off has come just when we needed it. We are still working but also playing too. It’s been a long winter an amazing one but definitely a long one. And I know the 4 of us are looking forward to the temperature rising and the snow and ice in the valley melting. We have now been living in our little trailer for 7 months and are feeling the squeeze. We have a few more months to go and I know the change in season will boost our resolve to stick it out!
Have a lovely spring break everyone, wherever you are. Even if you’re not on vacation I hope the weather is a breath of fresh spring air for you!!

Clothing in the ‘olden days’ was often purchased with the intention it would be worn often, and for many years. Relative to people’s income, clothing was costly. But it was quality, it lasted, and could be repaired. And I would argue that even though individual items cost more, people in the long run spent less because they purchased way fewer items than we do now.
I wear a wool sweater that my dad bought when he was 18, it has no pills!! I am sure then, he thought he was spending a small fortune but it was worth it! It seems these days clothes are made to sell, sell, sell. Fast fashion is just as it states, FAST. Garment workers endure poor conditions and are rushed to produce with sacrifices being made to the quality and well being of themselves and the garments.
Clothes are then shipped to brands and put out to sell as quickly as possible to have a fast turn around for the next fashion trend to hit. Every year approximately 100 billion garments are manufactured and it's guesstimated that around 90% is sold, which leaves 10 million pieces of clothing unaccounted for, 'deadstock’ as it's known in fashion. So where does it all go?
Brands and retailers have said they sell them on to other partners, donate to charity or sadly, the worst outcome, they destroy the unsold, either shredded or incinerated. This has been a well kept secret within the industry.
Slowly but surely Slow Fashion is now making it's way into the mainstream. Conscious consumers are seeing the effects of fast fashion and know it ain't pretty. Our environment is impacted greatly and nature, animals and people are being sacrificed.
Dame Vivienne Westwood says it best, “My message is, Buy less, Choose well, Make it last.” I couldn't agree more. She wants the fashion industry to move away from producing so many cheap clothes and for shoppers to buy fewer items, choose them better and make them last.
It’s quality, not quantity, not landfill.

]]>Hi all art lovers! I'm back to talk about FORM ... which is the 3rd element in the elements and principles of art and design. If you missed the previous 2 posts over the last couple of weeks I touched on LINE and SHAPE (pop back and have a read if you like). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Unlike SHAPE which is flat and 2 dimensional (like a shadow) FORM is 3 dimensional, like the bird I drew above.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
SHAPE = FLAT
FORM = Dimensional⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Form takes up space and can give an artwork a sense of depth. Sphere’s, cube’s and pyramids have form and can be made to look like buildings, cars or any other object that has a place in the world, or the world of your imagination :) Sculptors would be particularly interested in form and how their 3-D objects exist in a space.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Henry Moore was a famous English sculptor who created semi-abstract sculptures. They are beautiful organic forms that look different from each angle you view them from. He would have been very interested in how FORM interacts with space, other objects, and the viewer. Check out his pieces like ‘Large Reclining Figure’ and ‘Double Oval’.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Also, keep your eyes peeled for any public art sculptures that may be close to where you live or on your daily commute. Stop and check it out the next time you pass by.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

]]>From yoga to running around town, these unique leggings bridge the gab between active wear and street style.
Printed with my painting of evergreen trees on a blustery day in Whistler, BC.
Compression fit due to the high spandex fabric. These leggings hug in all the right places and suit all kinds of body types. They have been salt water tested and can be worn to protect your legs while surfing. They stand up to the toughest workouts you can throw at them and double as long underwear for your winter sports. You can also dress them up with a flowy top and booties and hit the town. Extremely comfortable high waist won’t dig in or slip down.
88% Recycled. Poly 12% spandex. Anti-Bacterial. Odor Resistant. Non-Pilling. Breathable. Quick-dry. Wicking. Machine washable. Proudly Made in Canada, sweatshop free.
]]>Way back before I started making leggings, when it came to shopping for them I was having a hard time finding any that hit all the points I was looking for:
1. Made in Canada (or locally)
2. Made from a sustainable fabric.
3. Seriously made to last.
4. Unique.
5. High waist.
6. And lastly, I wanted daily lifestyle leggings, ones that weren't too sporty looking (I had those and loved them for the gym) but wanted a cute pair to change into for my day to day happenings.
So in designing my leggings I made sure I hit all these points. There are all sorts of fancier more tailored clothing that I think is beautiful, but it just doesn't suit my day to day lifestyle. Being a work-from-home mom of two very active boys, and living in a super casual small mountain town, I need clothes that make me feel good and show my personality, but that are practical, comfortable, and VERSATILE!
I can wear my leggings with a sweater and woolly socks, or with a flowy blouse/tunic, dressier boots, and jewelry. No matter what's going on in my day, I can style my leggings so I'm comfy and appropriately dressed. They even work under my ski pants as long johns.
My latest print, the Hidden Owl Leggings are in store now!
]]>Feel free to check that one out if you missed it. And now we are going to explore what SHAPE is all about.
So when you think of shape, you want to think FLAT. Shape is 2-dimensional and has no form. Think circle VS sphere, square VS cube, triangle VS pyramid. And shapes can be any size and, um…. shape! 😆 They don’t have to be your traditional ‘shapes’ that have names like I just listed, they can be wacky and weird shapes that don’t look like anything recognizable. The shape I made above ☝ is abstract, it’s basically two ovals put together. But our brains can’t help but see things, and so it ends up looking like the silhouette of a person.
So that’s pretty much it for shape. Next time I am going to touch on FORM. But in the mean time, see if you can find interesting shapes when you are moving through your day, snapping photos, or sitting down to draw or create something. Shapes are all around, in shadows, road signs, or the frost on your car window in the morning before it warms up.
Also, you can check out Henri Matisse 🎨 and his work during his ‘Cut Out’ phase. He made many of these works by cutting out large shapes from coloured paper. Pieces like ‘Icarus’, ‘Blue Nude’ and ‘La Gerbe’ are cool examples of his use of shape.

One day stands out in my brain as one of the most spectacular days of 2018. A little back story here:
Last summer was beautiful, then September hit like a Mack truck and along with it came a lot of rain. I remember it clearly because we had just moved into our "tiny home" trailer in late August and were getting acquainted with "small" living with two boys and a dog. For those of you who don't know, we are in the process of building a home in Pemberton, and while we do that we are living in a trailer in Whistler for the year. September was a rude awakening from the lazy warm days of summer (FYI rain on a trailer roof is not the comforting pitter patter of rain on a metal roof, it's a deafening barrage that drove us bonkers, it made it hard to sleep and even hard to talk on the phone!) So when the cool, crisp but blazing sunny days emerged after a soggy start to September, everyone's spirit's lifted.
My good friends Arran and I committed to getting as many hikes in as possible to take advantage of this incredible fall weather. This particular day we decided to hike up to Garibaldi Lake. We met in the shaded chilly parking lot early in the day, and set off up the fairly steep switchback trail in the heavy dark woods.
Eventually we emerged into a little more sunshine and a flatter path that leads you to the glittering aqua jewel that is Garibaldi Lake. We found a quiet little beach and peeled off our layers, laying likelizards in the full sun, enjoying our lunch. Across the lake you can see the glaciers coming down to almost touch the shore. It's breathtaking.
After lunch we decided to head up a little higher to the alpine and wove our way into Black Tusk Meadows along a beautiful trail, among vibrant golds, reds, and oranges under an electric blue sky. This is where I stopped to take the photo that I painted this painting from. What I remember most is the smell of the autumn alpine air, crisp and bright. I wish I could bottle it. But I guess what makes it so special is that you can't. You have to go there to smell it, and it's always worth the hike. We couldn't go much higher that day as I had to get back to pick up the kids from school. But that just leaves something else for us to explore next year.

]]>The inspiration behind my latest releases: The Hidden Owl
With a true connection through the wisdom of the soul, the majestic owl has many symbolic meanings:
Intuition - Change - Life Transition - Wisdom - Mystery - Intelligence - Mysticism - Protection - Brilliance - Perspective - Independence - Power
If you have ever been honored by a visit from an owl know that an amazing gift has been bestowed on you. Animals are usually called on those who share the same energy and we now know the owl is emblematic of a deep connection with wisdom and comes from a place of wholeness.

]]>So many people say that they ‘don’t understand art’ and I want to try to demystify it cause art is here for YOU!
The elements and principles of art and design are the foundation of art. Honestly, words like ‘elements’ and ‘principles’ make me gloss over with boredom and I can recall clear as day how much I hated learning this stuff in art school.
But it can be fun! We are talking about paint and scribbles and beautiful compositions for goodness sakes - lets get inspired!
Here’s the simple breakdown: Elements are like words, and principles are like sentences. Understanding these gives you visual literacy and takes the mystery away. Once you learn these simple bits you can look at a piece of art and describe what you see using a common language. If you have deeper insight into how something was created or built, like a song, a movie or a beautiful building, it will hold more value for you. But that’s not to say you can’t just love a piece of art cause you love it - of course you can! This is just here for you if you are curious to dive a little deeper.
Once you are familiar with this visual language you might find yourself looking at the world from a new perspective… seeing the elements and principles of art & design as you walk through your day or look through your camera lens.
The first element we are going to talk about is LINE. Line is a path created by a point moving in space. Different tools make different kinds of lines. Lines can be thin and smooth or wide and rough. Pencils make lines, brushes can make lines, scratching a surface can make a line, planes make lines as they fly across the sky, or a snowboarder can draw a beautiful line as she carves down the hill. Try to find an interesting line in the next photo you take.
I’ll be back soon to talk about the next element: SHAPE

With a true connection through the wisdom of the soul, the majestic owl has many symbolic meanings:
If you are not yet intrigued by this mystical beauty, read on…
There are countless superstitions and myths surrounding the owl, but they continue to be a source of wisdom, spirituality and intellect. Among First Nations symbolism the owl represents wisdom, foresight and the keeper of sacred knowledge. The Squamish Lil’Wat Cultural Centre tells us, “the Owl is a great foreteller of weather conditions and can be observed to identify changes in environment. Owls are a reminder to take care with your actions, to think of the future and to love your family. They can be identified in Pacific Northwest Coast First Nations art by their large forward-facing eyes and ear-holes, a small curved beak, a flat face with a conspicuous circle of feathers around each eye”.
If you have ever been honored by a visit from an owl, know that an amazing gift has been bestowed on you. Animals are usually called on those who share the same energy and we now know the owl is emblematic of a deep connection with wisdom and comes from a place of wholeness.
* I am proud to donate a percentage of sales to the Squamish Lil’Wat Cultural Centre here in Whistler to support our cultural knowledge to inspire understanding and respect amongst all people. A place where mountains, rivers and people meet, Whistler and the SLCC embodies the spirit of partnership between two unique Nations who wish to preserve, grow and share our traditional cultures.

I’m so excited to share that I’ve been “working” with some amazing women for my next collection and am happy to share some behind the scene happenings with you here, and on my social media stories. I write “working” because it doesn’t feel like work when you’re out in the most beautiful surroundings, laughing and having a great time with this bunch!
Pemberton based photographer, Anastasia Chomlack, creates stunning images from everyday life and wonderfully captured the essence of my art, leggings and family and friends. I am giddy with excitement to share some of the imagery with you over the coming months.
In need of a top notch stylist… don’t hesitate to give this gal a call, Jessie McNaught ! and watch the magic unfold with her exceptional taste bringing your ideas to life. And of course what pulls this all together better than a local beauty, Neve Petersen. Smart, talented, warm and one hec of an outdoors woman! Whistler raised, Pemberton based and an allround West Coast woman to the core.
My friends and family also joined in on the shenanigans which made it all the more special and fun. I’m going to say it again… I CAN’T WAIT to share this all with you over the coming months and thank you for sharing this journey with me. For now, here is a tease....

It's an artists dream just looking out at beautiful British Columbia’s stunning landscape. The warm hues of fall foliage line the streets with withering leaves turning from the greenest of green, to stunning reds, bright oranges and the brightest joyful yellows.
The air is crisp and sharp. I took this photo a few weeks ago on a hike up in Garibaldi Provincial Park. What a day!
Then fog rolls in and makes for a moody and mysterious feel. It’s the perfect time to start lighting the fire, warming your toes, sipping on a warm cup of coffee or tea, all the while reading your favourite book, possibly Klee Wyck by Emily Carr.
Market traditions.
This time of the year also brings tradition, which continues down at Vancouver's waters end. Crafty, talented and hardworking artisans come together for one of Vancouver’s oldest shopping traditions spanning over four decades, Circle Craft. Over 300 artisans are carefully selected based on their talent and diversity, coming from communities such as Whaletown, Quathiaski Cove, North Vancouver, Vernon, Duncan, Gibsons, and many other cities and towns from all across Canada, to showcase their exquisite works of art. I am blessed to be one of them and honored to be among so many talented artists.
Besides being able to personally meet this diverse and talented bunch, you may also have the chance to watch some of them in action, making their goodies right there in front of you and to speak with them about what inspired their creations. Featuring upscale clothing designers, potters, wood and metal workers, glass blowers, jewellers, toy makers, candle and soap makers, and so many more. As one of the most successful organizations of its kind in North America, you can bet that these artisans are exceptional and second to none.
Not only is Circle Craft the kick-off to your holiday shopping (a tradition in Vancouver spanning over 4 decades) it’s your chance to support local; Local artists, local businesses and supporting them means supporting your local economy. Connecting craftsman with our community is an important part of our economic growth and what better way to support them than by heading down to this amazing market. If you like to support local artists, or if you simply like unique, high quality works of art to share with your family or friends then come take a look. These gifts are made to last, made with sweat (and sometimes tears!) but most of all made with love by some amazingly talented individuals.
I’m so excited to be bringing some new pieces into my collection which will be showcased during Circle Craft. A few original works of art, leggings (of course), along with some special winter pieces adorned with my artwork will be there during this fabulous week. Come on down (or up) and visit me to see what I’ve been up to this year, it’s been a busy one that’s for sure, but one that I couldn’t have gotten through without YOU! Yes, you are part of the #HeidiTribe, and I am grateful for you and your support.

]]>However, the colour black does come and go in fashion trends. Spring brings pastels and subtle colours, while fall brings a deeper shade of green, orange and those colours associated with nature and the changing of seasons. I'm not looking at the trends however, I am looking for a staple in your wardrobe, a piece that can live throughout the seasons and time. A piece that can be paired with any other item in your wardrobe. The start to your minimalist capsule which can be brought out during any season and mix and matched with your other staple pieces.
The birth of Coco Chanel’s LBD (Little Black Dress) brought an easy to wear, simple, yet elegant piece to every woman’s wardrobe, just as the Inkpot Legging will. Printed on the blackest of black recycled fabric, you won’t see any whiteness or fading from this pair. You asked for flattering and I delivered. Smoothing out your bootylicious form, offering shape where needed and showing off a silky flattering finish, the Inkpot Legging is a must for any wardrobe. But you couldn’t possibly imagine that I would leave out colour on a pair of leggings... look for a copper finish of the Heidi logo elegantly placed on the back of this LBL (Little Black Legging). Only you might know that this little piece of subtle shimmer is there, but it will give you that feeling of style and grace and make you hold your head high and confident as you strut your stuff.
Ink has been around since before 23rd century BC and made from a mixture of many different sources such as minerals, plants, tar, soot and iron salts. Along with the pen which changed from a single reed straw to a quill, ink helped changed humanity and is regarded as one of our greatest inventions. Although the Inkpot Legging may not be a new invention, I do think it is a game changer!
With any Heidi piece purchased you are making a difference in our fashion industry. I support slow, local fashion where pieces are created for purpose and made to last. If there’s one staple for your wardrobe this year, this is it!
Made with love and elegance for you.
Xox Heidi
]]>The days can be sunny, but most likely gray during this time of the year. Our sky opens up and showers us with heavy rain drops, day after day leaving more than the petrichor emanating from the ground. Sweet moss glimmers on the trail, mushrooms begin to sprout and the lingering scent of fir and pine fill the air and help awaken our senses.
A sprinkle of snow on the mountains brings a smile to us all. Fall is here with Winter just around the corner ! She’s come fast and fierce.
Squash, pumpkins, crunchy leaves and heartwarming soups are what we think of during this time. And warmth, from a crackling fire, fuzzy slippers, or an oversized sweater. We know how to keep warm during this time of the year and take comfort in knowing our leggings will do more than just that.
You’ll blend in on the trails with the FALL leggings, attract the Whiskey Jacks with the FEISTY BIRD and well, with the newest legging to come, you’ll be blending right into the night sky...
Among The Rocks
Oh, good gigantic smile o' the brown old earth,
This autumn morning! How he sets his bones
To bask i' the sun, and thrusts out knees and feet
For the ripple to run over in its mirth;
Listening the while, where on the heap of stones
The white breast of the sea-lark twitters sweet.
That is the doctrine, simple, ancient, true;
Such is life's trial, as old earth smiles and knows.
If you loved only what were worth your love,
Love were clear gain, and wholly well for you:
Make the low nature better by your throes!
Give earth yourself, go up for gain above!
- Robert Browning
In July I launched my bold and bright 'Armchair Glacier' Legging.
Then is August came the 'Bear That is There' Legging
And just yesterday I laughed the 'Feisty Little Bird' Legging
This is the first legging I have ever created that has a black print on a solid colour fabric. The result is a bold but very wearable semi abstract print. I hope you are enjoying my monthly legging launch! It was been really fun for me to get into the groove of introducing a new print each moth. Stay tuned! Heidi

What do digital adventure maps and abstract art have in common? The newest dark and stormy leggings in my monthly collection! If you've seen the sneak peeks on my social media these past few days, you’ll know just how excited I am about this collaboration with ULLR Adventure Maps.
A few cool facts about the Whistler Mountain Bike Park, ULLR Adventure Maps and of course the newest leggings in my 2018 collection.
Whistler Mountain Bike Park
Did you know our Bike Park is considered the World’s #1 downhill park with lift access! Offering 4,900 vertical feet of lift access trails, more than any other bike park in North America, it doesn’t just run from the Village-side any longer. Creekside opened 5 new trails making 15km of new access increasing overall lift access by a whopping 20%, that’s HUGE! If you haven’t yet checked out the Bike Park, you’re in for a treat! Remember, always ride within your means and be safe, but don’t forget to have fun!
ULLR Adventure Maps
The best in digital technology, ULLR Adventure Maps bring amazingly precise maps to your mobile device from the ground up, around Whistler Village, the slopes on Whistler Blackcomb and throughout Whistler’s backcountry.
Offering a Free Tourist Series from Whistler Village throughout the valley is worth it alone to check them out, but it’s honestly the best maps I’ve seen of Whistler, so of course I couldn’t wait to get my hands, (well fingertips really as its an App) on the newest Whistler Bike Park Map. WOW! It’s seriously amazing, detailed and so well laid out. What’s really cool about this App is its handy features like GPS and Location Pinpointing, GPS Tracking, Coordinate Search, Find Your Friends and Safety Features such as finding your local SARS and Ski Patrol agency. It’s made with an easy to use interface and downloads, and even the least techy of us can use it easily. Check them out: ULLR
I was overjoyed to collaborate with ULLR and mix their gorgeous map on my leggings with some added splashes of paint and strokes of my brush. Together we’ve created a final product that I am excited to share with you today. To be worn in any bike park, forest trail, local gym, work meeting or a night on the town. Just because these leggings are dark and stormy doesn’t mean you have to be, where them loud and proud!!!
]]>Playing an important role in the redevelopment of health and well-being within our communities, farmers markets are here to stay, and for good reason. The demand for fresh produce, locally made items and healthy alternatives in skin care etc. has risen considerably in the past decade. Consumers are wanting nutritious and pesticide free produce, sustainably made clothing and housewares, and local art. But most of all folks love getting to know where their purchases come from, how they’re made, and by whom.
The Whistler Farmers Market runs May-October, twice a week, Wednesday and Sundays in the Upper Village. Each passing year has brought a record number of visitors, including last summer, it just keeps getting better every year! You can find fresh produce from many wonderful local sea to sky farms, delicious food and beverage stands that will blow your socks off to have such amazing food made ready for you fresh, and of course dozens of amazing artisans showcasing their uber talent from clothing, jewelry, art, crafts, and so much more.
I am proud to have been accepted once again as a vendor this year, and am of course bringing my leggings to you with much love and excitement. With old (favourites) and new designs being displayed every week, you may be lucky enough to come on a day where I launch a new legging. And June 17th's market will be just that… a fresh and exciting collaborative design release, and if you haven’t already seen it, head on over to our social media channels where I have leaked some details ;) Here's a little sneak peek:
I am also bringing you some brand new original art pieces, inspired by Whistler's vibrant natural beauty.
Also in the mix, will be some clothing pieces from silk dresses to organic shawls that you, my customers have been telling me all the amazing uses you have for them. Ranging from a sarong, blanket, towel, head wrap, scarf, shawl to a hanging wall piece… THANK YOU for letting me know all these great uses!
A great place to come and feel part of a community, the market also offers what online shopping does not, a chance to feel things out. Here you can try on clothing, feel the material and ask the vendor who is usually the creator of the products you are seeing, how the product is made as well as their inspiration. We truly feel that it does make a difference and adds value to your purchase knowing the story behind it.
“I love the interaction I have with each and every person who stops at my booth, whether they purchase a piece or not, I just love the community the market creates. Some of the other vendors feel like family and my customers are my friends. We share stories from the past year and catch up on things like where my leggings have travelled. And my family literally IS at the market, as my husband Ron Denessen also has a booth selling his paintings, and our boys love helping us on Sundays. The market is home to them. I very much look forward to this time of the year and enjoy every minute. See you all soon!”

A vast hidden wilderness of snow-capped mountains, alpine meadows and glacier fed lakes makes Joffre Lakes Provincial Park one of the most scenic landscapes in the province of British Columbia. And one of the most noticeable colours you will see around is turquoise, radiating from the three beautiful lakes, Lower, Middle and Upper Joffre. A reflection from the glacier eroded rock flour, the stunning turquoise colour which we now associate with the area makes for a picturesque backdrop in any picture, painting or leggings! Which is why we’ve brought back this striking print for you.
As if one stunning legging wasn’t enough for you this month, we’ve decided (with your help of course) to bring back in stock the Lupin legging.
You can’t find these ephemeral wildflowers in your local floral shop, only in the alpine of our coastal mountains where you can fully appreciate their beauty. The Lupinus Polyphyllus can be found growing wild along the dramatic sidelines of the Sea to Sky highway, but mostly in the diverse fields higher up in the Garibaldi Mountains. A range of wildflowers can be seen stretching from one field to another, but the lupin stands out because of her bold, blue and purple colours and height which can grow up to 5 feet tall.
First Nations legend tells the story of a suffering tribe going through times of famine and drought, searching for any means of survival. The tribe receives spiritual guidance, that acts of giving and sacrifice are necessary, but no one is able to perform such deeds willingly. As an act of true selflessness and giving, a young girl climbs a steep hill (mountain) to offer her only possession, a precious doll holding the memories she has of her family. In the area where she places her doll, the sky opens up and rain begins to fall and the wildflower lupin springs up in all her glory. And so, says the legend, this is how the lupin came to appear on earth. -- Flower Essence Society
The lupin wildflower can grow in parched and devastated lands showing its resilience and strength when it comes to growth and beauty. Also offering stress relief and calming qualities from its flower essence the lupin truly is a wondrous plant that deserves respect and care when seen in the wild.
Symbolic of imagination, we can only guess the thoughts going through the minds of those catching a glimpse of the leggings walking by them in all her proud boldness.
Using the same recycled fabric we always have, to stay inline with our sustainable practices, you will notice something slightly different with this bunch. These new leggings are much bolder with a stronger sense of colour and outline from last years. We feel this is well deserved of these two prints and cannot wait to see them on you in the wild.
We bring you our All New printed Leggings and Tennis Club Top set, in collaboration with Bikini Empire, the Queens of the bathing suit world.
A love affair with retro Palms Springs, where you leave your troubles behind and spend the day sipping cocktails by the pool and dancing the night away under the stars. This pattern will make onlookers wonder what they are seeing, yet only we will truly know... the flowers, the faces and the dreams radiating from these La-La’s.
This delicate pattern will get noticed, and you’ll want to be so that you can say how good you feel in them and how good you feel about supporting a local, ethical and lasting brand, just like the leggings themselves.
We will be sharing stories in our social media of this fun and sexy collaboration from the design inspiration to the sultry photoshoots taken in a fabulous Palm Springs.
Tag yourself with our leggings in your social media, for the chance to be featured on our page and stories ! #heiditribe

It’s one of North America’s largest and most popular craft shows and brings not only buyers to suppliers, but connects all of us who seek excellence and quality in those special gifts for our loved ones and occasionally ourselves :) Here you can learn first hand how much work and effort goes into one of a kind pieces and the craftspeople behind these gems. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Today we welcome Spring and equality as day and night share similar lengths in time. A time of rebirth, where we celebrate new beginnings. Today and especially today, we live by the words of Margaret Atwood who once said, “In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt.” So we hiked into the dirt, meandered through forests, crossed raging rivers, and silenced only by Nature's beauty.
People stop in their tracks when they see her. She is vibrantly beautiful… just like you. One of Mothers Nature’s perfect creations when you see her in the wild, majestic, carefree and towering… just like you. Tiger Lily holds her grace and beauty, along with a fiery persona… just like you and she says... I dare you to love me.
Today we bring you the Tiger Lily leggings, signifying strength, resilience, and opulence. The Tiger Lily knows just how good it looks and you will feel this confidence to, once you become at one with this stunning beauty.
Her strengths include:
Fun facts:
Legends say that a hermit once helped a wounded tiger by removing an arrow from its injured body. The tiger asked the hermit to preserve their friendship after its death and thus became a beautiful orange flower. When the time came of the hermits passing, the Tiger Lily spread far and wide to search for her friend and thus became a mythical symbol of friendship, although now she is referred to as a symbol of wealth and prosperity.
We see Tiger Lily as a connection to your own strength, standing tall and firm, physically and mentally. Wear her tall and proud. And we share the words below of the Tiger Lily that remind us of you...

Lead by mighty and powerful Suffragettes from the first International Women’s Day in 1911, we have much to give thanks to these trailblazing women. Throughout this past year’s movements like #MeToo and #TimesUp, we have maintained a global momentum for gender parity from those early years, and it’s full steam ahead with no end in sight. It’s not going to happen in a day, week, or even a year, but throughout time from here on. We are stronger and more united than ever and we want to share what we will be doing to take a step forward. We’re not a group or an organization, but a community of real women who want to make a change and see a world of difference for those who deserve it, and you and I are but one of those many women.
We have chosen to surround ourselves today with our beautiful friends and family to strengthen our mind, body and soul. We are uniting with our colleagues to think, act and be gender inclusive. We will be celebrating women’s achievements in history by reading powerful stories to our daughters, nieces and cousins. We will celebrate the cultural diversity around us and embrace those who have brought on social, cultural, political and economic changes for women by way of hope, equality and tenacity. We will offer empathy to those who seek understanding, we will offer respect to those deserving and help bring justice to all our women who have been seeking equal treatment, conditions and opportunities just as those of men.
Here at Heidi Headquarters, we are also taking some time to look back at all those of you who have shared our vision, passion and care for one another through our #HeidiTribe. It may seem small and insignificant to hold a group of us so worthy with a simple bond through leggings, however we are making a world of a difference. You are part of a movement in sustainable practice, eco-conscious purchasing and mindful living. Yes, YOU!!! By purchasing recycled clothing, buying locally from a small batch maker, you have chosen to care for our planet, the environment and yourself, as well as those around you. We applaud you and thank you for taking part in choosing ethically. Now let’s celebrate each other and share the magic of what happens when women come together and take a stand for equality, gender parity and PRESS FOR PROGRESS !!!
Check out our Facebook and Instagram as we highlight stories on inspirational women from our #HeidiTribe all day long. Keep an eye out as YOU just might be among those wonderful women!
Here we share some of our favourite places to empower yourself today, tomorrow and always:
We leave you on a high with words of empowerment from none other than the shining, inspirational Maya Angelou…
'Pretty women wonder where my secret lies. I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size But when I start to tell them, They think I'm telling lies. I say, It's in the reach of my arms The span of my hips, The stride of my step, The curl of my lips. I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me.
I walk into a room Just as cool as you please, And to a man, The fellows stand or Fall down on their knees. Then they swarm around me, A hive of honey bees. I say, It's the fire in my eyes, And the flash of my teeth, The swing in my waist, And the joy in my feet. I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me.
Men themselves have wondered What they see in me. They try so much But they can't touch My inner mystery. When I try to show them They say they still can't see. I say, It's in the arch of my back, The sun of my smile, The ride of my breasts, The grace of my style. I'm a woman
Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me.
Now you understand Just why my head's not bowed. I don't shout or jump about Or have to talk real loud. When you see me passing It ought to make you proud. I say, It's in the click of my heels, The bend of my hair, the palm of my hand, The need of my care, 'Cause I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me.' ~ Maya Angelou
