July, The New Moon, And You.

Posted by Heidi Denessen on

The beginning of this month opened up with a new moon in cancer falling opposite to Pluto. With this transformational energy you may have felt triggered, impatient, reactive, emotional, cranky, irritated, out of sorts, discouraged, overwhelmed, defensive, and may have felt a general feeling that nothing is working in your life. There is a pressure to transform something.

Huh? A new moon in Cancer?

This is an emotional moon that taps into our home, family, safety, & emotional security. Use it to focus on your self-care, your personal needs and healing your heart. How do you heal your heart? You love yourself, you cherish who you are and you treat yourself like you would treat the most valuable thing in your life.

A new moon opposite Pluto? This brings up our fears, our shadows, our projections so that we can transmute them — especially through the archetype of home, family, connection & emotions.

Pluto holds a mirror to us all, what is it that we see? What is it about ourselves we wish to change & evolve?

Why do we pay attention to the new and full moons- What can they tell us? They are important markers in understanding the energy and opportunities available to us over the month. The new moon represents new beginnings, new ideas for the month. A full moon brings everything to a culmination. What we began at the new moon has now come to term.

The next full moon will be on July 19.

These next few weeks will feel a little ungrounded- One minute you are cleaning the refrigerator, the next minute you are inspired to get out those old paints & pencils and are creating yourself a master piece!

It is a time to anchor new truth, new personal practices, new intentions, new resolutions, new relationships and new ideas.

Ground yourself by getting out in nature, dig your bare feet in the grass, find time to relax or try meditation- or go hug a tree!

 Enjoy this month!
