I couldn't feel more proud to live in this ski and bike town that is now wholeheartedly embracing the arts. The outdoors, sport and art have always gone hand in hand for me. And so I can't wait to walk through the doors of the magnificent building that is sure to become the new cultural hub of our community. The opening show will feature an impressive collection of paintings by Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros, José Clemente Orozco and will also feature a sculpture by Oaxaca artist Rufino Tamayo. As most of us here in Whistler love to travel to Mexico, it's pretty cool that some of the best modernist art to come out of Mexico will now be on show right here in our snowy valley.
