July 20-22 Summer Landscape Painting Workshop, Ages 10-16yrs
Create a landscape masterpiece this summer!
Join me, Heidi, in my art studio for 3 fun days and learn the steps to creating a beautiful acrylic landscape painting.
Beginners and all other painting levels welcome! I can help support wherever you are at in your creative journey.
Each day we will explore some of the main elements of art like colour and composition, brush techniques etc. and will apply those discoveries to our paintings. The workshop will be broken down like this:
Day 1 - Heading out on a walk from the studio we will take some reference photos of the local landscape that you can work from while creating your painting. You can also bring a favourite photo to the workshop. The landscape/composition you paint will be your choice! Back in the studio we will print the photos, prime our painting surfaces, and draw our compositions.
Day 2 - Today we really dive into painting while learning all about colour. Our focus will be all about blocking in the main areas of our painting.
Day 3 - Our final day will be all about details. Fine tuning things and making your work POP! This will really bring your art to life!
ALL SUPPLIES INCLUDED - just show up in clothes that can get paint on them and be ready to have fun and create! Please also pack a snack, water bottle and a phone for taking pictures. *In notes to seller upon checkout - please let me know the name and age of the participant.
